Are you ready for better recognition?
The hospital you work in relies on you. The Hospital Skills Program (HSP) is designed to recognise and support the skills of doctors who work with medical specialists and other health professionals in key areas of our health system. So get recognised for the skills and knowledge you have obtained and the job you do. Certification is possible in a range of disciplines and there are no rigid time frames for completion.
Do you feel ready for whatever comes to you through the hospital door?
Being ready doesn’t necessarily mean knowing all the answers. It means understanding your capabilities, knowing when to ask more questions and where to obtain the answers. Are you job-ready? Participating doctors will be guided by a curriculum which describes skills and knowledge that can be developed using on-the-job training, skills centre learning, short courses and on-line learning programs.
Modules are being developed to guide training in the following areas:
- Emergency Department
- Mental Health
- Aged Care
- Surgery
- Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Paediatrics
- Medicine
