IMET strives to develop and support medical education and training provided in NSW Health services and is driven by the pursuit of excellent patient care through support for high quality medical education and training in NSW. IMET recognizes the significance of developing a medical workforce that is valued by the health system, is skilled to care for patient’s safety, and enjoys a sustainable and satisfying career.
Introduction to the Program
Orientation: Applications are invited from Consultants in NSW who have an interest in Medical Education and Training. For 2010 there will be a maximum of 20 places.
Eligibility Criteria: The following elegibility criteria will be considered when reviewing applications:
- Current role in medical education and training such as involvement in IMET committee or State Training Council, Supervisor, Mentor, Clinical teacher.
- A current Senior Medical Officer in NSW.
- Demonstrated interest and engagement with medical education and training.
- Demonstrated benefit to the applicant.
- Opportunity of application of skills and knowledge follow the program.
- Commitment to attend the full program (10 workshop days)
