What is IMET Doing?
In 2010 NSW IMET will be running two consecutive leadership development programs.

LEAP- The Future LEAders Development Program will be running again for Doctors in Training. LEAP will ensure preparation of doctors in training for leadership roles within the NSW public health system. No other program exists in NSW that is focused on the needs of doctors in training in relation to medical education and training of leadership skills. click here for information

The aim of this program are to
Deliver a high quality, innovative, interactive, and inspirational leadership program for current and future clinician leaders in medical education and training within the NSW health system.
Structure
The major component of the program is five face-to-face workshops, a total of 10 days. Workshops are objective driven, focusing on experiential learning through simulation group exercises, interactive lectures and feedback.
Skills learnt in the workshops will be complemented and further developed by an ongoing program of projects completed in syndicate groups, self-directed and web-based learning, a mento program and practical leadership experience in the workplace.
