| Education and Training for Advanced Cardiology Trainees in NSW
Statewide Education Program
The Statewide Lecture Series for Cardiology commenced in July 2008 and is organised by the NSW Advanced Cardiology Trainees’ Committee and the Cardiology Education Support Officer. The lectures are held monthly and cover a range of topics, ranging from broader aspects of cardiology to more specialised and advanced areas. The sessions are facilitated by a number of cardiologists in NSW.

Advanced Trainees Professional Development Program
In 2009, IMET and the NSW Paediatric Physician Training Council is supporting a professional development program for advanced trainees. The program structure is one seminar per month for two hours. Generally, sessions are held on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
The first session, CV Writing and Interview Skills, was held on Wednesday 11 March 2009 and was presented by the State Director of Paediatric Training, Dr Emma McCahon. Currently, there are nine sessions planned for 2009.
The advanced trainee professional development program is also available to advanced cardiology trainees.
