The Australian Curriculum Framework for Junior Doctors developed by the Confederation of Postgraduate Medical Education Councils (CPMEC) and a writing group of experienced clinicians and educators.  CPMEC undertook extensive consultation and feedback prior to the launch of the Framework at the 11th National Prevocational Forum in Adelaide, November 2006.

The ACF has since been revised, and version 2.2 is currently under discussion.

The ACF defines the competencies for prevocational trainees that are assessed in the NSW Prevocational Progress Review Forms.
