What are the steps in IMET’s accreditation process?

IMET’s accreditation process has several key steps.

  • Self-assessment – facilities assess themselves against the standards. click here
  • Survey visit – IMET appoint a survey team consisting of junior medical staff, clinicians and medical administrators.
  • Report – the survey team produce a comprehensive report with recommendations for improving the quality of prevocational training.
  • Prevocational Accreditation Committee (PAC) – the PAC consider the report and award accreditation.  For more information on the PAC click here.
