International Medical Graduates

How do I work in NSW?

If you are an International Medical Graduate (IMG) there are several pathways you can take to work in NSW.

1.

General Registration via the Supervised Training Pathway/ Prevocational Training Pathway. IMET is involved in facilitating this pathway for AMC Graduates.  For more information on the 2009 Mid Year Allocation click here. For information on the 2010 January/June Allocation click here

2.

Other pathways/ processes through which International Medical Graduates could gain NSW Medical Board Registration to work in NSW are:
  • Competent Authority Pathway
  • Standard Pathway
  • Specialist Pathway
  • Area of Need, and
  • Specialist 7(1) E (conditional Specialist) process
