About the IMET Prevocational Accreditation Program

IMET's Prevocational Accreditation Program implements and monitors standards for the training and welfare of prevocational trainees in their first two postgraduate years (junior medical staff).

We aim to promote a universally high standard of general clinical training. 

Our Prevocational Accreditation Program assists facilities employing prevocational trainees to maintain high standards of:

  • training
  • education
  • supervision
  • assessment
  • evaluation
  • support
  • safety

We assess and accredit all facilities in NSW/ACT that employ prevocational trainees using clearly defined and established standards. For a summary of the standards click here.
